Is faux leather good enough for regular boxing training?

Yes, if it's made well. The Obsidian Boxing Gloves has reinforced stitching at the stress points, which is usually where cheap faux leather gloves fail first. You get most of the durability of real leather at a lower price, and it also handles sweat and humidity better since it won't crack or dry out over time.

What size should I get?

The Obsidian comes in 8oz, 10oz, 12oz, 14oz, and 16oz, so it covers most adult men and women. Lighter people or those doing technical bag work usually go 10-12oz. Heavier users or anyone doing longer pad sessions often prefer 14-16oz for the extra cushioning.

Will my hands get sweaty in these?

The mesh palm panel helps air move through while you train, which keeps things cooler than a full faux leather palm. That said, any glove builds up sweat during a hard session, so wipe the inside down after each use and let them air out fully before your next workout.

How tight should the Velcro strap be?

It should feel snug but not cut off circulation. Tighten it more for heavy bag work where you want extra wrist lock, or loosen it slightly for pad work where you need more wrist movement. If you can still flex your wrist freely without the glove sliding, the fit is right.

Can I use these for kickboxing too?
